Today, we’re releasing the most thoughtful version of Amelia we’ve ever built. Not because it introduces change for the sake of change, but because it reflects everything we’ve learned about how real booking businesses work, day in and day out.
This release marks an important turning point for Amelia. One shaped by real workflows, real complexity, and real feedback from the people who rely on it every day.
A New Foundation, Built with Intention
What you’re seeing in Amelia 9.0 didn’t start as a redesign or a roadmap item. It started with a simple, uncomfortable question we kept coming back to:
Does Amelia still feel as good to use as it did when you first chose it?
As Amelia grew, so did the businesses relying on it to run their day-to-day scheduling. More services, more employees, more locations, and more booking types, including event bookings, all managed in the same system. While Amelia continued to handle bookings reliably, we could see where everyday workflows started to feel heavier than they should.
Finding information took longer. Managing availability required more steps. And small, routine decisions demanded more attention than necessary.
So we took a step back.
We listened closely to how Amelia was being used in real life. Then we tested. And then we rebuilt things that were already “working,” because working wasn’t always good enough.
We questioned familiar patterns and made decisions that were harder in the short term, but better for long-term clarity, stability, and scale.
Today, Amelia 9.0 is officially live, not just as a new version, but as a new foundation. The one built from real use cases, real feedback, and everything we’ve learned from you and with you.
What’s New in Amelia 9.0
What you see in Amelia 9.0 didn’t come together overnight. It’s the result of a lot of testing, small adjustments, and real conversations about what actually slows people down when managing bookings every day.
Some changes are big. Many are small. Together, they completely change how Amelia feels to use.
Here’s what we mean.
A UI/UX Overhaul: Designed around real use
One of the hardest parts of this release was changing things people were already used to. But over time, “used to it” doesn’t always mean “easy” and we wanted Amelia to be both familiar and genuinely simple to work with.
So in 9.0, we rebuilt the interface around real booking workflows, the kind you go through dozens of times a day.
Cleaner, more predictable UI
We standardized how things are written and presented across the product, so actions are easier to scan and understand. Less second-guessing. Fewer moments of “wait, what does this do?”
Clearer data flow and hierarchy
We simplified page structures so the information you actually need stands out. You spend less time searching and more time getting things done.
A new text editor
The old editor caused more friction than it should have. The new one is more stable, easier to use, and makes sure your messages look professional, without formatting issues.
Built-in tips and guidance
Tips, suggestions, and documentation links are now built into the interface. They’re there when you need guidance, and out of the way when you don’t.
Light & Dark mode
Because not everyone works at the same time of day and your eyes shouldn’t suffer just because your schedule is full.
Smarter filtering, sorting, and shortcuts
We added more sorting and filtering options across key pages, along with practical shortcuts that help you reach the right information faster. These micro-improvements may seem small, but they save hours over time by reducing clicks and unnecessary steps.
More connected workflows through smarter navigation
With improved cross-page navigation and redirect links, Amelia now guides you naturally through booking workflows. Pages connect more intuitively, so moving from one task to the next feels seamless instead of fragmented.
This isn’t a visual refresh for aesthetics alone. It’s a redesign meant to reduce cognitive load and help you work with confidence.
Dashboard 2.0: Seeing your business more clearly
We kept hearing the same thing from users: “I just want to know how things are going, and I want to know it fast.”
So instead of adding more data, we focused on showing the right data. The Amelia 9.0 dashboard is built around clarity, not noise.

The calendar: Your daily reality, finally refined
The calendar is where Amelia lives day to day, so we treated it like the control center it is.
You can now:
- Add appointments and events directly from the calendar.
- Work comfortably on mobile with a redesigned calendar experience.
- Clearly see working and non-working hours.
- Switch between month, week, and day views instantly.
- Use quick-add popups to create new appointments while staying in flow.
Everything is faster and clearer, and nothing pulls you out of your rhythm.
One unified bookings page: Less switching, more control
Managing different booking types shouldn’t feel like juggling tabs.
In Amelia 9.0, appointments, packages, and event bookings now live in one unified view.

- Redesigned add/edit screens that reduce errors and speed up work.

Catalog & Events: Built to scale with you
As your business grows, the way things are organized starts to matter a lot more. What worked with a few services and/or events and employees can quickly turn into friction.
That’s why we rethought how Amelia’s core building blocks are structured.
One clear place for services, packages, and resources
Everything now lives in a new Catalog page, so you always know where to go, which means no guessing, no jumping between screens.
Consistent, predictable setup flows
Creating something new follows similar steps every time. You learn it once, you know it everywhere.
Backend order is no longer tied to the frontend
You can finally manage things the way you need in the admin, without worrying about how it will affect what customers see.
Features & Integrations: Everything in one place
As Amelia evolved, it naturally gained more features, options, and flexibility. That power was useful but it also meant users had to go through more settings than they actually needed. Finding the right option took longer and things you didn’t use still competed for your attention.
We reworked this area to make it easier to find exactly what you need, showing only the options that match your custom setup and, just as importantly, hiding those you don’t use.

A cleaner, more focused settings experience
