The first quarter of 2026 has been an exciting period for Amelia. Our team focused on improving stability, expanding integrations, and refining the user experience across the plugin. With more businesses relying on Amelia every day, these improvements are designed to make managing appointments and events smoother, faster, and more flexible.

We’re also thrilled to share that Amelia Lite has recently surpassed 95,000 active installations, a milestone that reflects the continued trust of our growing community.

In this post, we’ll walk through some of the most important improvements from Q1 and give you a preview of what we’re already working on for the months ahead.

Smarter Integrations for Your Workflow

Simplified Google and Outlook Calendar Sync

Managing appointments across multiple calendars can be challenging, especially for teams. In Q1, we introduced improvements to how Amelia syncs with both Google Calendar and Outlook.

These changes simplify setup and improve reliability, helping ensure that your calendars stay aligned with your Amelia bookings.

Why this matters:

  • Reduces the risk of double bookings
  • Keeps employee schedules automatically synchronized
  • Simplifies calendar management for teams

Example use case:

A salon owner with multiple employees can now connect their own or staff calendars more easily, ensuring every stylist’s schedule stays up to date across platforms.

Divi 5 Integration for the Redesigned Plugin

For businesses building their websites with Divi, we’ve added support for Divi 5 in the redesigned version of Amelia.

This allows you to embed booking functionality more seamlessly into modern Divi layouts, making it easier to create visually appealing booking experiences for your customers.

What this means for you:

  • Better compatibility with modern WordPress page builders
  • Smoother website design workflows
  • More flexibility when placing booking forms

Angie AI Integration

We also introduced an integration with Angie AI, expanding automation possibilities for businesses looking to streamline communication and customer interaction.

This integration opens the door for smarter workflows and improved customer engagement through automated tools.

Improvements That Make Daily Work Easier

Many Q1 improvements focused on refining everyday tasks inside Amelia.

Better Search Across the Plugin

We improved search functionality across multiple areas of the plugin, including filters and selection fields.

Benefits:

  • Faster navigation when managing large customer or appointment databases
  • Easier filtering of services, employees, and bookings
  • Improved efficiency for high-volume businesses

Example use case:

A clinic managing hundreds of patients can quickly locate specific bookings or customers without manually browsing through long lists.

Improved Filters and Calendar Preview

We improved the filtering experience in the Calendar and introduced a new “Appointment Title” option within the calendar filters. This feature allows you to control exactly how appointments are displayed on the calendar cards.

You can now choose whether the appointment card shows the service name, employee name, customer name, or a combination of these details, making it easier to tailor the calendar view to your workflow.

This flexibility helps you quickly identify appointments at a glance and organize your calendar in a way that is most useful for your business.

Financial Management Improvements

We added sorting options for the Amount column in the Finance section, making it easier to analyze revenue and track payments.

This allows business owners to quickly:

  • Identify highest-value bookings
  • Review payment activity
  • Better understand booking trends

Performance and Compatibility Improvements

Behind the scenes, we also implemented several important technical updates:

  • Updated Razorpay library to support newer PHP versions
  • Replaced the Mailgun PHP library for improved email reliability
  • Optimized SVG file sizes to improve performance
  • Improved error handling for API endpoints

While these changes may not always be visible, they significantly improve Amelia’s reliability and long-term compatibility.

Event Management Improvements

We also introduced enhancements for event-based workflows.

Event QR Code and Check-In Improvements

Adjustments to QR code scanning and check-in logic ensure that event attendance tracking remains accurate even when events are rescheduled.

This helps event organizers manage attendee check-ins with greater confidence.

We’ve also significantly improved our documentation to make it easier for you to find answers and learn how to get the most out of Amelia. Our documentation is now structured as a searchable knowledge base, allowing you to quickly locate guides, setup instructions, and troubleshooting tips.

Instead of browsing through long pages, you can simply search for a topic and instantly access the information you need.

Looking Ahead: What We’re Working on Next

While Q1 focused on improvements and integrations, the team is already working on several new features planned for the coming months.

Improved Event Management

Upcoming improvements will give event organizers more flexibility and better tools for managing attendees and bookings:

  • Export Event Bookings
  • Event Tag Management
  • Date range filtering for Event List shortcode

These features will make it easier to organize events, analyze attendance data, and customize how events appear on your website.

More Powerful Calendar Tools

We’re also working on several improvements that will give businesses greater control over scheduling.

Planned improvements include:

  • Multiple calendar sync for employees (Google and Outlook)
  • Block time slot option
  • Calendar card tooltip previews

These features will help teams manage complex schedules and avoid conflicts more easily.

WordPress Ecosystem Enhancements

We’re continuing to strengthen Amelia’s compatibility with the WordPress ecosystem. Upcoming improvements include:

  • Support for Gutenberg Block API version 3
  • Additional improvements to WordPress integrations, blocks, and customization options
