The latest Amelia release, version 8.4, brings some powerful updates to improve flexibility, streamline payments, and boost performance — all designed to make your booking experience even better.
Here’s what’s new:
Custom Pricing Based on Number of People (Pro & Elite licenses only)
This has been one of our most requested features — and it’s finally here.
You can now set custom pricing based on the number of people in a single booking. That means you’re no longer stuck with flat pricing when offering group services or classes. Instead, Amelia lets you define dynamic pricing that adjusts automatically depending on how many people are included in a booking. Whether you’re offering group appointments, classes, or team sessions, you can finally price your services more accurately and effortlessly.
💡 Example: Charge $50 for 1 person, $90 for 2, and $120 for 3 — all handled automatically.
You can find more details, examples, and suggestions on how to make the most out of the custom pricing feature in our latest article, and step-by-step instructions on how to set it up in the documentation.
Google Pay Now Available via Square
We’ve expanded payment options to include Google Pay through Square.
This addition gives your clients an even faster and more convenient way to check out, especially on mobile devices. If you’re working with customers who use Android or shop frequently with Google Pay, this could be a big win for conversion rates.
No More Redirects: Square Integration Now Embedded in the Booking Form
Speaking of Square, we’ve made a major usability improvement.
Previously, paying with Square would redirect users away from your site to Square’s external checkout. While that worked, it wasn’t the most seamless experience.
Now, Square payments are processed directly inside the Amelia booking form, keeping everything consistent and polished within your website’s branding. It’s faster, smoother, and much more professional.
Apply Coupons When Booking Packages (From the Manage Package Page)
Coupons are a great way to reward loyal clients and drive new bookings and now they’re even more flexible.
In Amelia 8.4, clients can now enter coupon codes when booking a new package from the Manage Package page. That means if someone has a package but wants to book additional services, they can still apply active promotions without having to start from scratch.
This small but impactful improvement gives you more control over sales, upsells, and client engagement — and makes life easier for your customers.
Upgraded Stripe Integration for Performance and Stability
We’ve also updated and optimized the Stripe integration to enhance performance, security, and compatibility. Whether you’re processing hundreds of payments or just a few, Stripe now works even more smoothly and efficiently in the background.
No changes are needed on your end — just enjoy a faster, more reliable payment process.
Updated FullCalendar Library
The calendar is at the heart of Amelia, and in 8.4, we’ve refreshed the FullCalendar library to the latest version.
