The past months have been all about refining, polishing, and elevating the new Amelia experience. With every design update and workflow upgrade, we’ve moved one step closer to the scheduling experience we envisioned, the one that feels cleaner, faster, smarter and powerful enough to support every business that depends on Amelia daily.
Today, we’re excited to share the next big milestone: Amelia 9.0 Beta is officially live.
This is your chance to explore the nearly finished version of the new Amelia, test the next wave of improvements, and help us shape the final release.
Beta is where things get real.
It’s more stable, more refined, and much closer to the experience you’ll get in the full 9.0 release.
And we can’t wait for you to try it out.
A Quick Note Before You Dive In
While far more polished than Alpha, the Beta version is still not recommended for production websites. You may encounter minor bugs or unfinished components as we finalize the redesign.

New feature: Waiting list for appointments (Pro & Elite)
Previously available only for events, the Waiting List feature now works for fully booked appointments as well.
Your customers can hold their spot, get notified when a time opens, and book without the hassle of constant checking.
Major improvements & refinements
UI & layout upgrades across the plugin
- Updated colors and icons in both Light and Dark Mode to match Amelia’s new branding
- Improved Activations tab in Settings
- Updated table layouts on Appointment and Event Booking pages
- Standardized sentence case across the entire UI for clarity and consistency

- “Start Date” option for coupons (via date picker)
- Ability to edit coupons directly on the Edit Event Booking page
- New reCAPTCHA type selector in the Forms & Integrations page

- Streamlined creation and management of Extras with new pop-up modals
- Cleaner pop-up-based forms for Employee Work Hours, Special Days, and Days Off
- Improved Custom Fields management for fewer errors and smoother editing
- Instant toggle for notifications on the Notifications page
- Updated UI and behavior of the “All Services” button on the Services page
