Amelia 8.5 is officially here, and we’ve got some exciting new features that take flexibility, security, and user experience to the next level! The update is packed with enhancements designed to make appointment management even smoother. Let’s see what’s new.
New Payment & Pricing Flexibility
You can now set dynamic pricing rates based on time of the day and day of the week.
For example, you can offer lower prices during morning hours for selected employees and increase the rates in the afternoon. Similarly, you can set higher prices on certain days (like weekends and holidays) and lower prices on others (like weekdays).
When customers view the booking calendar, green highlights indicate lower prices, red signals higher prices, and blue shows days with standard pricing where this feature isn’t applied.
With this feature, you can optimize revenue and manage demand more efficiently.
Enhanced Login Security with Google reCAPTCHA
To help protect your booking environment from spams and unauthorized access, Amelia 8.5 now supports Google reCAPTCHA on both employee and customer login panels. This added layer of security helps ensure that only real users can log in.
reCAPTCHA is turned off by default, so you’ll need to enable it manually in your settings for it to take effect. Once activated, it will provide a simple but effective way to keep your platforms more secure.
Mailchimp Integration for Smarter Email Marketing
With the new Mailchimp integration, you can now collect customer emails directly during the booking process. Once enabled, a subscription checkbox will appear on the booking form, allowing clients to easily opt in to your mailing list.
The seamless setup helps you grow your audience effortlessly while staying compliant with privacy standards, making it easier than ever to stay connected with your customers and run targeted email campaigns through Mailchimp.
Smarter Form Management and Booking Logic
You now have more control over how booking forms behave and appear. You can choose between a dropdown menu or a list layout when creating your forms, and services can be filtered by category for a cleaner user experience.
The system also adapts based on client selection, for example if a customer chooses a location where a specific employee doesn’t work, that employee will be visible but not selectable. The same logic applies to services that aren’t available for a chosen employee-location combination.
Plus, you can now change the ogre of booking steps, allowing you to better match your booking flow to your business needs.
Small Tweaks That Mean a Lot
- Employees can change the status of their own appointments, including approving, cancelling, rejecting, or setting them as pending, directly from the employee panel.
- Choose to show or hide employees on the booking form, offering more flexibility in how your team is displayed to clients.
- API keys now have an unlimited expiration date.
