Our Story

When all this started

Amelia’s story started long before the solution actually saw the light of day in 2015/2016 - the TMS-Plugins Team got the initial idea right after the wpDataTables plugin was launched.

Although it took some time to put together a winning team, the end result was quite impressive. With our in-depth knowledge of development and business automation, we quickly started building B2B enterprise-grade software solutions for companies worldwide. In time, we managed to conquer various industries and our main goal was to continue exploring the vast WordPress scene.

Once on that path, it didn’t take long to realize the weaknesses of the then-young WordPress industry and its struggle to fulfill the increasing eCommerce, order processing, booking, and management demands of emerging local businesses.

Our strategy

To take our knowledge of building enterprise-grade software, business automation techniques, user experience, and interface design, and bring it to the WordPress world.

When the plan for the plugin itself was already out there, I needed to come up with a name. None of the ideas I had sounded right - a feeling similar to the one I had when my wife and I were picking a name for our daughter.
And then at one moment, it clicked. I decided to give the plugin the same name that we gave to our daughter - Amelia. It helped me transfer the feelings of love I had for our daughter to the product as well. So, when I say that the Amelia plugin is built with love, it's not just a figure of speech for me. There's nothing more satisfying than to see Amelia grow - both my daughter, who's soon to start school, and the plugin, which is used on 60.000+ websites all over the world today.

Alexander Gilmanov

CEO, Founder, and Author of the idea

Childhood dream job: an artist

With a Ph.D. in Technology and Computer Sciences and a background in software development, Alexander has more than 10 years of experience in transforming ideas into finished products. Founded and led wpDataTables (bootstrapped to $500K ARR), Amelia (bootstrapped to $1M ARR), and now Trafft. Led projects up to $60M in size, including large Fintech, Adtech, and Medtech projects in the UK and EU. His hobbies include marathon running, playing piano, and DJing. An avid collector of vinyl records and oldtimers.

Isidora Markovic

Head Project Manager

Childhood dream job: a forensic scientist

With a Master’s degree in Business Systems Organization, 5+ years of experience, and 5 successful projects under her belt, Isidora is a Project Manager with exceptional organizational skills and extensive knowledge of booking plugins. Passionate about the entire product design process - from developing an effective strategy and working on new features to collaborating with designers and developers. Loves being able to work on the project she truly believes in and sharing her expertise with the team and other IT enthusiasts. Enjoys arts, music, watching sports (especially Formula One), and doing yoga.

Zeljko Radic

Back-end and Architecture Tech Lead

Childhood dream job: a ninja

Zeljko holds a Master's degree in Transport and Traffic Engineering and has 14 years of experience as a full-stack developer who is now fully focused on developing business web and desktop applications. His interest in programming was piqued in high school when he was first introduced to Pascal, C, and C++. He now works mostly in PHP/Java/JavaScript programming languages. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, riding his bike, and traveling/exploring historic monuments, local towns, villages, and the countryside. Also enjoys solving brain teaser puzzles.

Ivan Zdravkovic

Front-end Tech Lead

Childhood dream job: a (pirate) ship captain

Ivan is a Lead Front-End Developer behind Amelia with almost 10 years of experience in web programming and working on various plugins. Mostly uses JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (SASS, LESS) programming languages. His favorite library is React and his preferred framework is Vue. Currently focused on creating the best possible logic, looks, and design for Amelia as he believes there is always room for improvement. In his free time, he enjoys making homemade beverages.

Aleksandar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and has 10 years of experience in various fields and industries including WordPress plugins, SaaS, SelfCheckout Lanes, ATMs, Server installations, POS terminal installations, Cash Register installations, and QA. Enjoys working across different industries and projects and is motivated by versatile working environments such as TMS. An innovation enthusiast who is always the one using the newest technologies, apps, and software. In his free time likes playing his guitar, listening to music, playing football, and working with his hands.

Bogdan Radusinovic

Marketing Team Lead

Childhood dream job: an artist

Bogdan Radusinovic is a Marketing Team Lead with 6 years of experience working in the SaaS and WP plugin industry. Can be found attending WordCamp conferences where he regularly exchanges ideas and information with like-minded WP enthusiasts. As an Engineer of Organizational Sciences, Bogdan is driven by the challenge of finding the best possible solution to any problem he encounters. Loves traveling, hanging out with friends and colleagues, watching sports, playing basketball (although a bit rusty now 🙂), Sony PlayStation, reading and napping whenever possible.
