Usage Data & Privacy

Amelia includes an optional usage tracking feature that, when enabled, sends a small set of anonymized, non-personal data to our team. This information helps us understand how the plugin is being used in real-world environments so we can make better product decisions – fixing what’s broken, improving what’s popular, and prioritizing what matters most to you.

This page explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can turn it off at any time.

Your privacy comes first

We take your privacy seriously. Here is what you can always count on:

What we collect

When usage tracking is enabled, Amelia periodically sends the following data. Nothing more than what’s listed below.

Plugin & environment

Basic technical information about the environment Amelia is running in. This helps us ensure compatibility with the most common server and WordPress configurations.

Data collected Why we collect it
Plugin version Tells us which version of Amelia is installed, so we know how widely new releases are adopted.
WordPress version Helps us understand which versions of WordPress we need to support and test against.
PHP version Lets us identify the most common server configurations and avoid breaking changes for the majority of users.
Active theme Helps us spot themes that may cause compatibility issues with Amelia's front-end.
Multisite setup Tells us whether the plugin is running on a standard WordPress install or a multisite network.
Site locale / language Helps us prioritize localization efforts and translation coverage for the most commonly used languages.

License & activation

High-level information about your license plan. This helps us understand how different tiers of users use the plugin and whether license-related features are working correctly.

Data collected Why we collect it
License tier Tells us which plan you are on (e.g. Starter, Standard, Pro, Elite), so we can understand feature usage across tiers.
License status Indicates whether the license is active, expired, or inactive - helping us detect activation issues.

Active integrations Shows which third-party services are connected (e.g. Google Calendar, Zoom, Stripe) - helping us prioritize integration improvements.
Active & configured features Tells us which Amelia features are turned on or configured (e.g. extras, packages, recurring appointments), so we know what to focus on.
Payment methods enabled Shows which payment gateways are active, helping us improve and expand payment support.

Performance & health

Anonymized, aggregate signals about plugin stability. This helps us detect widespread issues before they are widely reported.

Data collected Why we collect it
Fatal error count An anonymized count of critical errors logged by Amelia. No error details, stack traces, or personal data are included.
Database record counts Rough totals of records (e.g. number of appointments) to help us understand scale and optimize performance.
